Why We Opted To Homeschool

A new chapter…we’re homeschooling! A new beginning that we, as a family are super excited about. This decision didn’t come easy, and it took a lot of careful consideration. As parents, we do what’s best for the betterment of our children. That’s what it ultimately came down to.

HOMESCHOOLING BENEFITS INCLUDE:

Flexibility. Location flexibility (can homeschool from anywhere), schedule flexibility, and flexibility to pursue his/her passion. This was a huge factor for us, because we’re a family who does a lot of creative work, which causes a lot of travel and moving around, also a family that’s actively pursuing the entertainment/tv/modeling world. Spoiler alert! Great things coming from the kids.

Safety. In regards to health, well-being and environment.

Personalized learning. Our kids will have educational freedom. We have control over what the kids learn(our real history, finance, real life skill building, mental skills, etc). This also gives us, as parents, creativity to make learning fun, meaningful and exciting through innovative learning.

Less stress. The energy around you affects you in every aspect. Homeschool tends to be less stressful because you have complete control of your environment and feels.

Advancement. Studies show homeschooled students perform higher SAT/ACT scores than their counterparts in formal institutional schooling, and do better on other standardized tests.

It’s not just about academics. So many other areas that benefit from being homeschooled. Like, your child’s mental health, physical, and emotional health. Far less ridicule and social pressures, that ultimately reduces one’s self-esteem and discourage learning.

SOME OTHER PERKS TO HOMESCHOOLING:

Home school op’s are great for achieving common goals (academics, increased social time, activities, arts +crafts, etc. Having others around you and the littles, that are experiencing and/or have experienced the homeschooling lifestyle is beneficial.
