Spring Break’n With The Kids

Well hello, spring break. The kids are ready! Mama is too, high-key. Outdoor activities and attractions, playing under the warm sun, and everything that spring break has to offer. You know I’m always keeping you guys updated on the fun stuff we do and/or have planned. Have a read.

Some ideas to get you going for the most perfect spring break:

Enjoy Nature

  1. Soak up some sun. Sunbathing and having the kids watch clouds is always fun. Make it into a game, and have the kids find different animals, objects and such.

  2. Hiking. This will give you time to explore the outdoors and get active.

  3. Read a book under a tree or in your favorite outdoor chair.

  4. Birdwatch

Roadtrip

  1. Take a day drip. Travel makes for good, long-lasting memories.

Visit your city’s main attractions

  1. More than likely, each city has its own set of main attractions. This would be a great way to explore your own city and see what it has to offer.

  2. Visit your city’s most popular amusement park, theaters and museums. You could even make this into a history lesson. (yup, thats the homeschool mama in me talking)

  3. Visit your local zoo.

Art, art and more art

  1. You can’t go wrong with arts and crafts, like ever. Take an easel(or just a blank notepad), paper, paint, crayons and/or markers outdoors and let them have at it. Crafts keep the kids imagination flowing and creativity peaking.

  2. You can find the perfect crafts for little hands at Target(my favorite), Michaels, Hobby Lobby or any local arts and crafts.

Plant something

  1. Make a whole thing out of it. Take your kid to pick out their own flower, plant, fruit or veggie. Have them pick a special planter, and all the necessary tools. They’ll enjoy the process from start to finish(especially when in bloom).
