ICE! Featuring A Christmas Story

Let the Christmas festivities begin. ICE! is back at Gaylord National. If you’re in the DMV, it’s a must go-to for the whole family. We became apart of the story at ICE! featuring A Christmas Story. A holiday classic for sure, so you know it’s so, so good. The whole experience is like no other. Larger-than-life ice sculptures, lights, interactive activities, slides, tubing and more.

You’ll want to bundle up for sure(they do provide signature parka jackets) it’s 9 degrees in the walk-through. Depending on your family, it’ll take about 20-40 minutes to complete the full experience.

This experience is entertaining for all ages. I think myself, and dad had more fun than the kids lol. The sculptures are carved from over 2 million pounds of brightly colored ice.

Once you finish the ICE! experience, theres more. We stopped at the hot chocolate bar. I thought this was so cool, being as though we were just in 9 degree weather. It was a nice warm touch.

We finished the day with some outdoor ice skating. It was super convenient. The outdoor rink is located at Gaylord National as well. Skating has become one of the kids favorite activities.

If you’re looking for fun family activities, ICE! at Gaylord National is definitely worth the trip.
