Taking A Seat In Stillness

I get it, the entire world has slowed down tremendously, and the pandemic has caused hardships, as well as been in the way(financially) for so many people, including me, but why are we canceling 2020? That’s all I’ve been seeing on social media. I feel like so many people are looking only at the negative aspect of this whole situation. Call me a bit dramatic, but there’s power in the tongue. We have to speak life, regardless. This will not last forever. Where your faith at? That’s how we’ll get through this.

Stillness: the quality or state of being still—calmness. I’m actually very thankful for this lil quarantine life(not that my life was much different before—I’m a homebody, but y’all get it) and stay at home order, although I do miss Target and my flower market runs, a lot—like a lot a lot ! Lol. On a serious note, this has been a time for some renewed learning, new discoveries, creativity and ample time for planning and preparing for my long term goals. Slowing down has helped me to take a breather, re-focus, re-set, re-align, re-claim.

How I’m using this season of stillness to be productive:

Rediscovering myself
Spending time with God + the word
Spending time with myself
My needs + wants
My passions
My values

Reevaluating where my energy is going
What am I working towards
Cancelling out all things and people that no longer serve me in this season

Future partnership + business projects
Planning and preparing
Getting the tiny details in order
Letting my creative juices flow

Focus on what matters + indulge in that
My family
My business
My partnerships
My hobbies

Getting all the sleep + rest I can
Mama really needed this! I’ve been in such a calm and quiet space lately and it’s absolutely amazing.
