Making Mindful Breathing A Regular Practice Of Mine

I’ve been reading up on and practicing new actions and techniques that are beneficial to me. One being mindful breathing. I give myself 2-3 minutes regularly. It’s actually become natural for me. It’s simply settling into a relaxed focus, becoming in tune/aware of every single breath you take, in and out. Feeling the air going in through your nose, into your body, and back out your nose. It’s helped me tremendously with developing a stronger sense of calmness and focus.

Benefits of making mindful breathing a regular practice of mine:

Convenience

Between mothering my littles, working from home, running businesses, creating, extracurricular activities, and everyday life, I appreciate convenience. The beauty of practicing mindful breathing is that you can do it anytime and anywhere(the shower, the gym, in traffic, in the comfort of your home, etc). You don’t need any special equipment to do it either. Just you, the air in your lungs and for you to be intentional.

Quick and easy way to tune in with myself all throughout the day

Being in tune with myself is very important to me. Like in every aspect. I become aware of how my mind, body, soul and spirit feels. This gives me the opportunity to remove, relax and release when needed.

Erases a lot of overthinking and worry

Ok! I’m a worry mama. This is exactly why I practice mindful breathing. It’s helped me so much thus far. Taking a few deep breaths, while transitioning into a mindful state of being will release overthinking, worry, anxiety and stress.

Improved focus

Sometimes my brain is all over the place, and has about sixty different tabs open. It’s somewhat easy to become overwhelmed and to lose focus on the important tasks at hand. Mindful breathing redirects my attention, gives me a clear head and calmness.

Removes tension, physically

Im an old soul, with an old body and bones. Just kidding (not really). I also use mindful breathing to bring awareness to how my body feels physically. I’m up and moving all throughout the day, and by the end of the day my body(mostly my back) is in the absolute worst pain. I take time to notice my posture and where any part of my body feels tense, and then I relax those muscles. A ten to fifteen minute physical break works wonders.

Removes energy blockages

I’m all about my energy and peace, within me and around me. Energy blocks could be negative people, negative thoughts we may have, unfinished tasks, procrastination, fatigue, stress, depression, etc. Practicing mindful breathing eliminates these things. It brings focus to what your energy is looking like/ what is troubling you in that  very moment. The process of mindful breathing brings you inner peace, and then you can work towards removing any energy blockage.
