How to maintain a great credit score, mama

Hey, SHE E O! How are your New Year resolutions going? One of mine was to get financially fit and to create multiple sources of income. With that, it’s very important to have a great credit score. You will benefit in so many ways, just from having a decent credit score. Like, what car you drive and how much you pay, where you live and your monthly mortgage costs, business loans, etc. So far, I’m doing great in managing my credit score and I plan to be consistent in doing so. I thought I’d share what’s been helping me to increase my credit score rapidly.

Here’s the inside scoop:

Check your credit score frequently

Stay on top of your credit report. You won’t know what you need to improve on if you’re not up to date.

Pay your bills on time

The key! As much as I dreaded putting my bills on auto pay, it helps a lot. It’s one less thing you have to worry about.

Manage debt

If any, lower and pay off your debt.

Avoid having multiple store credit cards.

You tend to overspend, because they make you feel like you’re getting a deal.

Keep your credit card balance low+ put your card away

Honestly, I still have my moments when this is hard for me. I either spend $100 in five minutes, or make $10 last a week. There’s no in between lol. Try not to spend just because you have a card in hand.
