For the mama who’s working from home
I absolutely love being a stay at home mom. I’ve been working from home for about a month now. I get to spend more time with my little loves, I make my own schedule, and I get to work on my brand 25/8. With all of this comes discipline. Here’s how I stay on top of my game.
The earlier you get up, the more you can accomplish that day.
Though very tempting, get out of your pajamas. Find some comfy clothes and get to work.
Create a morning routine
This is my quiet time. I make a cup of tea, sit and write my goals for the day. I do some of my best brainstorming during this time.
Create an office space
Do you have a designated “I’m working” area? This helps! Find you some cute office supplies. Get inspired! When you love your “I’m working” area , you’ll want to spend more time there.
Set office hours
Find the work and life balance that works for you and your family. This way you won’t become drained or overwhelmed.
Get out the house
Do something fun with the little ones. There’s so many free activities going on during the day. Museums, story/activity time at the library, play areas at your local mall, etc.
Do something relaxing
Take a minute to regroup. Pick up a good read, listen to your favorite music, journal, go get a mani/pedi, etc. While my little ones are napping, I usually run to Target. (Thankful for my grandmother because she makes it possible for me to do so.) Seriously, Target is the greatest place on earth.
